The Rubber Room Tracking/Fade Thread

OK, here's my idea for this thread.

I will be tracking 1 guy in this thread, Jeff Benton. If someone else has a tout that they would like to track/fade, this is the thread to do it.

It will be your responsibility to post the plays daily (if they are available) and update the record for the tout you want to track/fade but HOPEFULLY others will help out if they see a tout's plays posted. For example, I'm tracking Benton and someone else in the thread is tracking, let's say DeMarco. If I happen to see DeMarco's play for the day posted either here at the Rx or at some other forum and it hasn't been posted in this thread yet, I will post it in here, helping out the person who is tracking DeMarco, just like I would hope they do the same for me if they saw Benton's play before I did.

Hopefully we can get a lot of good fades going on a few of these scam artist touts, help each other out making it easier for all...and of course make some fade cash.

OK, so I've made up my mind. I'm going to track/fade Anthony Redd, one of the "cappers" on Pick Nation. I've seen a couple of posts that he's not a real person either, but I don't really care, as whoever is making his picks is a very weak handicapper. Here are the reasons I'm picking Redd:

1) His picks are available almost every day. I was able to backtrack him all the way to January 1st 2011 without a single day being missed
2) About 50% of the time he'll have more then 1 play per day.
3) His dimes vary between 10 and 100 units. So if you don't want to fade him unit per unit, you can use a sliding scale. I'm going to track him unit per unit though for the record keeping.

I'll start full record keeping like Pimpy as of Tuesday when the new week starts. However, so you guys can see why I've chosen Mr. Redd, here are his results so far for 2011:

Jan 1st - 3rd: -19 Dimes
Jan 4th - 10th: -179 Dimes
Jan 11th - 17th: -52 Dimes
Jan 18th - 24th: +105.5 Dimes
Jan 25th - 31st: -218.5 Dimes (Sunday and Monday pending...)

Again, I'll start a full chart with his daily record as of Tuesday February 1st, on week by week basis using the same format as Pimpy. But his record for the year will include the above because I was able to find his plays (with dime value) every single day and was able to validate them as winners or loses. I will track him for the entire month of February and after that we'll decide if he's worth it as a fade or if we move on to someone else. I have a couple of other candidates in mind, but it's hard enough to keep track of 1 person at one time.

If you see Anthony Redd's play either in the RX service forum or elsewhere and I haven't posted it yet, then please post the play and the dime value to help me with the tracking (and your fellow RX faders). BOL!

20 Dime Release on Miami (FL) as the road dog over Virgina Tech. As this play is released at 5 AM Pacific, the Huiricanes are currently getting between 8 1/2 to 9 points in this contest.
20 Dime Release on Central Michigan as the road dog over Akron. The Chippewas are currently getting 9 points in this contest.
20 Dime Release on Northern Iowa as the road dog over Missouri State. The Panthers are currently getting 7 points in this contest.

Official plays for record tracking will be:

Miami-Florida +9
Central Michigan +9
Northern Iowa +7

If you are going to fade, you might want to wait until game time to lock in Miami-Fl orN Iowa, as they are both dogs with more public bets, the line could potentially drop. Central Michigan is a pure dog, getting points and less action. BOL!

Actually, he was on the 3 dogs. Faders had the favorites. I realized I made it confusing afterwards. I'm make it more obvious next time. Redd went 2-1, Faders 1-2. BUT, since Benton lost his play and Lang lost his play, Faders were actually 3-2 overall today!
